Use hardware acceleration when available Uncheck this option. That setting simply defines the difference between directed ads and general ads, so I don't know why I sometimes see an ad and sometimes see no ad (no iframe) when viewing the same page in different tabs. Steps to follow when Mozilla Firefox keeps freezing. My eBay > Account > Site Preferences > General Preferences > Advertising Preferences Setting or unsetting the AdChoice preferences made no difference:

When I used your search word "Republican" on the US site, and open a new browser window each time, I sometimes see the AdChoice iframe and sometimes don't, but the frame doesn't hang up in either case. I have modified my third party cookie rules to allow all cookies, and that does not resolve the issue. My guess is that the script chokes on the search terms that are passed through to doubleclick. That page then loads the script below, which freezes the system because it gets hung in a loop or is stalled in a wait situation: The frame that failed to load completely is a 160圆00 AdChoice iframe at the bottom left of the listing that belongs to. The comma (logical OR) increases the search range. Green keywords did not hang up, red ones resulted in a script error. In my test cases, I searched by keyword with seller and by keyword without seller.Ĭheckmarking descriptions, or not, produced the same results. The frames that would load them do not exist on the US page.įirefox 40.0.3 has no add-ons or plug-ins, and I disabled all security. The difference I see on the two search pages is that AdChoices, in the left column, are not shown to me on my US search page, while they are present on the UK search page. Still have not yet seen it on the US site. Starting with version 5.0, a rapid release cycle was put into effect, resulting in a new major version release every six weeks. It loads glacially slow, sticks too much. Firefox was created by Dave Hyatt and Blake Ross as an experimental branch of the Mozilla browser, first released as Firefox 1.0 on November 9, 2004. Cons: Since mid-January, Ive seen a level of crashing that averages at least once every twenty minutes of use. I have duplicated the effect on the UK site when browsing as a guest or when logged in. Pros: Remnants of browser I once loved still add level of intuitive control that others lack,i.e. Others have gone unresolved or have been given up on. Some are solved with rather simple problems that I've eliminated from my end. Poking around Google shows this problem being a little more than common.

I will report that my six year old Sony Vaio running a fresh install of Windows 10 has no issues what so ever which is overall shocking.

If I search for "Dodge Dakota 2003 3 inch shackle" or "John Boehner Dancing Banana Deepthroat" I have no issues. If I search for "Dodge Dakota" or "Republican" it will hang on everything but the IE Tab in Chrome. I can repeat the event over and over again if I search for something vague that yeilds a great deal of results. This occurs on both Wifi and 4G, so we can rull out said router problem. I'm fairly certain I mentioned this multiple devices, multiple connections in the original post - not sure why we're pointing out a router issue or focusing solely on my computer. It's not a browser add-on because I have the same thing with my S5 (that's a phone, by the way) and most recently I've started having the problem with my Galaxy Tab A (a tablet). On FF beta 55 Beta flash Mouse Event blocked(click, hover, down, etc.), when moves focus from Flash web page to any other tab.Seeing as I work in IT, you can go ahead and assume I've done most, if not all, of the basics and that I'm not as easily susceptible to maleware or adware.Adobe Flash player will not run on website.Firefox 4 freezes for several seconds for some websites.Firefox (Mobile) on my S5 will fail to load most of the pictures and then it hangs (on Wifi or 4G). Chrome becomes unresponsive and never recovers.
